Objective:
An engaging lecture on Magical Realism's origins, characteristics, and notable works in Latin American literature. Works of authors such as Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, and Julio Cortázar will be explored.
Activities:
- Discuss the history of the Magical Realism Boom, talking about the authors, their works, and world events surrounding it.
2. Frida Kahlo History and Craft:
- A lecture presentation about Frida, her life, and her work.
The audience will get a paper craft of Frida that they can put together while listening to the lecture.
3. Guillermo del Toro and Craft:
a. Film Screening Series: Showcase a selection of Guillermo del Toro's films, followed by discussions on his unique cinematic vision, storytelling, and contributions to the fantasy genre.
b. Cabinet of Curiosities: A lecture on Guillermo's life from childhood until now. The audience can create a Guillermo del Toro craft while learning about the director's life.
